Beginning December 1st and running through December 31st, Horizon Flight Center is offering its’ Holiday Lights Tour. Your flight will begin at Chesapeake Regional Airport [CPK] and pass you over the grand illuminations of Olde Towne Portsmouth and downtown Norfolk to follow up the Elizabeth River for a fly-by of the naval station’s ship lights. The tour continues by Norfolk’s Botanical Gardens around Cape Henry with a final turn into the glistening Virginia Beach boardwalk. Hot chocolate awaits your land and a photo will be snapped to share your holiday flight tour memories.

Horizon’s Holiday Lights Tours will be flown in one of our Cessna 172/G1000’s for a luminous avionics experience! Up to 3 passengers are welcome per flight [Please note total occupancy is based on individual weight maximums].

What an experience!!! Our pilot created a night of “Holiday Lights Tour” that my grandkids nor I will never forget. We toured the entire Tidewater area by Cessna aircraft and saw downtown Norfolk, the Naval base with decorated ships, The Norfolk Botanical Gardens lights, Norfolk airport with the Chesapeake Bay Bridge off our wing tip, and then dropped to an incredible 700 ft to see the Virginia Beach Boardwalk holiday lights. You could almost tell the makes of vehicles viewing the lights. From there we proceeded to Oceana Jet Base and back to our starting point at Horizon Flight Center. The kids were amazed to see Lynnhaven Mall from the air! Huge kudos to our pilot who provided expert commentary with a touch of humor to delight us all. – Ron
